France U20 ended the 21st youth basketball international festival in Bourg-en-Bresse with a comfortable victory against Poland (70-46).
France were once again slow out of the starting blocks which allowed Poland to lead at the start (4-2).
Alain Jardel decided to change his system almost immediately and introduced Aminata Konate into the game.
France then quickly took control of the game and used the inside presence of Pauline Thizy to open the first significant lead of the game (19-7).
Hhadydia Minte took over from Thizy as her side dominated the opening quarter (28-15).
The Polish coach was not happy with the officiating and picked up a technical foul for his efforts. His players were unable to find their rhythm or shooting game.
France extended their advantage (40-17) before dropping the pace allowing Poland to reduce the deficit by the interval (41-28).
France quickly picked up after the break and led by as many as 26 points at one stage. The game fizzled out with France winning (70-46).
Bulgaria, France and Poland are in the same group during the first round of the FIBA Europe U20 European Championship Women Division A.
Germany beat Bulgaria (84-42) in the match for third place. Stephanie Wagner and Wiebke Bruns were the leading scorers for Germany with 20 and 19 points each.
Germany were in control early and had the game won by the interval (43-18). They relaxed during the second half of the match.
