Charleville-Mézières say farewell to NF1 basketball
The long wait is over for Charleville-Mézières after securing the last NF1 basketball regular season title.
Romuald Yernaux, the coach from Charleville-Mézières had a tough evening in Dunkerque. His side dominated the first half and went into the locker room ahead (38-20).
Dunkerque played much better after the break. By the end of the third quarter they had reduced their deficit to 8 points (37-45).
Charleville-Mézières were unable to put a run together and with just under 30 seconds to play they only led by a single point (54-53).
However a three-pointer from Amel Bouderra in the closing seconds was enough for Charleville-Mézières to win the game (57-53) with their travelling supporters celebrating the promotion.
Belinda M'Boma led the Charleville attack with 19 points.
For Dunkerque to qualify for the NF1 basketball final four they must win their last two games and hope that Lyon BF and Illkirch-Graffenstaden lose.
Union Hainaut Basket did not have Clémence Beikes this weekend and fell apart in the final five minutes against Pleyber-Christ.
UHB-SA were leading (55-54) after a score by Laetitia Kamba. However her next action was to foul Naignouma Coulibaly. This was her 5th foul so she had to leave the game.
After her departure Pleyber-Christ outscored them (15-2) to win the game (71-57).
Coulibaly finished the game with 32 points and 22 rebounds. She was solid from the free-throw line in this game with 10-from-11.

However Voiron fell at home (60-65) to CSP Rezé, while US Laveyron beat the CFBB (66-59).
In addition Charnay-lès-Mâcon lost at home to Illkirch-Graffendstaden (47-52).
