Arras have become a force in the Ligue Féminine de Basketball and in their first season in a trans-national competition they went all the way to the final of the EuroCup Women before losing to Elitzur Ramla. However the season ended in chaos with the departure of long-time coach Bruno Blier after 18 years on the hot seat. Blier who was the 2009-2010 LFB coach of the year and his assistant Cécile Constanty both left the club at the end of the season and have been replaced by Thibaut Petit (coach) and Cécile Piccin (assistant). Jean-Louis Monnere the president of the club took control of the club during the turmoil and helped the new coach with recruiting: Joyce Cousseins-Smith (Nantes-Rezé - LFB), Alexia Rol (Limoges ABC - LF2), Alexandra Tchangoué (Aplemont Le Havre)- LF2), Gabriela Marginean (Panathinaikos - Greece), Soana Lucet (University of Arizona - NCAA), Nadezdha Grishaeva (Sparta&K Moscow Region). The club lost three French international players during the summer: Sarah Michel and Johanne Gomis went to Nantes-Rezé while Marielle Amant joined Bourges Basket. In addition Ukrainian youth international Olesia Malashenko departed to Russian club side BC Chevakat.
