Illkirch-Graffenstaden's team in the Ligue Féminine 2 has not changed much from last season. Nadège Drago who came back to play in division 2 to help the club in the point guard position is the only departure.
The SIG women are not the new kids on the block any more so it always appears to be the "same procedure as last year".

The SIG have always promoted players from their academy to the first team. This year it is no different with Justine Jeannelle and Couta Camara stepping up.
These players should be following in the club's tradition and foot steps of Lucie Battaglia, Aline Fischbach, Célia Mauler and Céline Pfister who all played for the club in the youth section.
The only new player coming to the club is Éloïse Chapays (in picture). She played last season with local rivals Geispolsheim (NF1) but is well known by the reds of the SIG during her time playing with the blues of the now defunct Racing Club de Strasbourg.
Former Lithuanian international Lina Brazdeïkyte has decided to make a return to the basketball court after having her first child in February. Brazdeïkyte was coaching the Cadettes team last season.
With nine players under the age of 23 in the roster nothing has really altered at the club.
Lucie Battaglia is just 26 year old. Yet she is the longest serving member of the playing group with 14 years experience of SIG basketball.

L'effectif de Illkirch-Graffenstaden pour la saison 2011-2012
Les Illkirchoises sont dorénavant dans leur quatrième saison en ligue féminine 2 avec leur coach Philippe Breitenbucher (right).
Quoique l'esprit du club illkirchois est fort avec une philosophie de solidarité, cette saison 2011-2012 devrait devenir assez dure car beaucoup d'autres formations ont de grandes ambitions.
Le jeune effectif de la SIG n'a pas beaucoup changé avec neuf joueuses de moins de 23 ans provenant presque toutes de leur centre d'entraînement. Seulement Nadège Drago quitte l'aventure LF2. Pourtant l'internationale lituanienne et coach de l'équipe 2 de Illkirch-Graffenstaden Lina Brazdeïkyte est de retour après une pause bébé. La seule recrue pour 2011-12 est Éloïse Chapays qui a joué avec Geispolsheim en NF1 la saison dernière et a été formée au défunt Racing Club de Strasbourg. Deux autres jeunes de la formation illkirchoise joignent la première équipe: Justine Jeannelle et Couta Camara.
