USO Mondeville are ready for the LFB Challenge Round
Unfortunately Aix-en-Provence are not interested in the LFB Challenge Round.
They travelled to Mondeville without their captain Magali Lacroix as well as K. B. Sharp, Yacine Séné and Hollie Grima.
All the same Mondeville struggled during the first period to impose and were thankful to Lenae Williams' (right) 17 points which included 5-of-5 from the three-point line as they edged the first period (22-19).
The game ended as a contest early in the second quarter after a 17-0 run by the hosts which enabled them to go into the break leading (47-29).
After the break Mondeville kept their grip on the game and won comfortably (88-66) with Williams finishing with 9 three-pointers from 10 attempts and a game high 29 points.
Basket Landes and Union Hainaut Basket, taking the challenge round seriously, came out with their full rosters. The game was intense and remained close throughout.
Basket Landes, playing at home, were unable to repeat their victory (69-68) in round 25 that sent UHB into the challenge round. They fell short (61-66).
Asptt Arras lead Challes-les-Eaux (87-80) after a highly entertaining match. You can read our match report here
SJS Reims blew away COB Calais in the final quarter to win (73-51).
Mame-Marie Sy-Diop (left) was the match winner for Reims with 23 points and 21 rebounds.
