Bourges Basket’s defense did the job as they restricted Challes-les-Eaux to 29 points.
Bourges Basket went into the second half of the match leading (26-17).
However they struggled to find their mark for the first five minutes of the third period allowing Challes-les-Eaux to score 5 unanswered points (22-26).
Bourges then ended the suspense as they went on a 15-2 run to head into the final period leading (41-24).
Bourges maintained their intensity in defense. Hence Challes only scored 5 points while their opponents scored another 17 points to win the game (58-29).
All the players from Bourges scored in this game with Katarina Manic leading the way with 14 points and Nwal Endéné Miyem, the only other player in double digits, with 10 points.
Tarbes still lead the table after beating Lattes Montpellier (60-59). Montpellier’s poor free-throwing with 9-from-20 was the difference between the two sides.
Isabelle Yacoubou-Dehoui was once again the player of the match from Tarbes with 28 points and 12 rebounds. No other player from her team made double digits.
Elodie Bertal and Khadijah Whittington were the leading scorers for Montpellier with 18 and 15 points each.
