Arras came into this game with three victories against Basket Landes this season, one in the championship and two in the EuroCup Women, so they came into this match with some confidence. Basket Landes, back in their home court for domestic action, never allowed Arras to settle in the match from the tip-off. A 17-0 run in their favour between the 9th and 15th minute of the match more or less killed the game as a contest. Arras were penalised for their aggressive style which resulted in Basket Landes having 37 trips to the charity stripes. The Arras coach Thibaut Petit (in picture) was not happy with the officiating and got himself into trouble. He picked up 2 technical fouls and was ejected from the game with five minutes to play. Leilani Mitchell and Sabrina Reghaissïa from Arras both fouled out during the last five minutes. Basket Landes rode their luck with excellent shooting from their captain Anaïs Le Gluher-Cano and excellent team defending. They also took advantage of the free trips from the charity stripes by converting 24 of them. It was not the best basketball from either team but for Basket Landes the victory puts them back in the chase for fifth place while Arras now have to worry about avoiding relegation.
