The LFB championship series is between the top four teams of the regular season. The prize is the title of French Champions and an automatic qualification for the FIBA Europe EuroLeague Women.
The best-of-three match format will be used, with the second - and third game if necessary - played in the court of the higher seed.
The championship play-offs are based on the best-of-three competition format. The second and eventually third match will be streamed live by LFB-TV.
The second post season competition called the Challenge Round is a play-off series for the 8 teams that missed out on the top 4.
The winner of the challenge round is offered a place by the French Federation to participate in the EuroCup Women.

The programme is as follows:
Game one: Thursday, 21 April 2010 (20:00 CET/18:00 GMT).
Game three: Tuesday, 26 April 2010 if required, hosted by the higher seeds.
The final championship series: Game one: Sunday, 1 May 2010 (20:00 CET/18:00 GMT) Game two: Thursday, 5 May 2010 (20:00 CET/18:00 GMT) Game three: Saturday, 7 May 2010 (20:00 CET/18:00 GMT)
LFB Challenge round
Unlike the championship play-offs, the Challenge Round games are based on the aggregate score of the two matches. The team with the higher seeding will play the second game at home.
In this format it is possible after the first leg that the game is tied because overtime will not be played.
However if the two teams are still tied at the end of regulation time in the second game then overtime has to be played.
All games are scheduled to be played at 20:00 CET (18:00 GMT).
The last match of this competition will be streamed live by LFB-TV and will be available on this site. Ardennes TV have announced that they will stream the home games for Charleville-Mézières.
The brackets for this competition was determined by the finishing order during the regular season.

The semi-finals are scheduled for Wednesday, 27 April and Saturday, 30 April 2010.
The final matches will be played on Friday, 6 May and Monday, 9 May 2010.
