For the second year in a row, the EuroLeague Women post season will have just one French club, Bourges Basket taking part in its competition. Bourges Basket finished in 12th place after the group phase and will meet 2009 finalists Halcon Avenida. If Bourges Basket beat Halcon Avenida, they will then face the winners between Ros Casares and ZVVZ USK Prague (13) in the quarter-final. The FIBA Europe ranking system was used to determine the eighth-final pairings (brackets). The eighth-final and quarter-final series are three-match series (best of three). The higher ranked team will host the first game at home and also the third game if required. The dates fixed for the three games are: 2, 5 and 10 February 2010. Fenerbahce (8) vs. Cras Basket Taranto (9) Ros Casares (4) vs. ZVVZ USK Prague (13) Halcon Avenida (5) vs. Bourges Basket (12) Rivas Ecópolis (6) vs. Frisco Sika Brno (11) If more than two teams from any country qualify for the quarter-final, then the brackets will be modified because no more than two teams from one Federation is allowed to participate in the final four. This implies that if Ros Casares (4), Halcon Avenida (5) and Rivas Ecópolis (6) all qualify for the quarter-final, then Halcon Avenida will have to play Rivas Ecópolis. Ros Casares will meet the winners between Wisla Can-Pack (3) and Mizo Pécs (14).
