USO Mondeville opened their EuroCup Women Group A competition with a comfortable victory (99-37) against Vagos.
Mondeville led (13-3) after five minutes of play and controlled the pace of the game for the remaining 35 minutes.
Vagos' two Brazilians, Clarissa Dos Santos and Izabela de Andrade, were the only players to trouble Mondeville during the first quarter.
Mondeville (21-12) ahead by the end of the first period moved 20 points clear after 17 minutes and went into the interval leading (45-23).
A 20-0 run by Mondeville in the third period (65-25) ended the game as a contest after 28 minutes.
Lenae Williams (right) led the scoring with 26 points in a match where all 10 players from Mondeville scored. Caroline Aubert dished out 8 assists.
Montpellier also faced a club from Portugal, Cab Madeira, and ended up winning (79-43).
Valéry Demory's starting five players got the team off to a good start (15-3). Then he decided to change all five players.
Montpellier continued to dominate and led (27-11) at the end of the first period.
Montpellier led (31-11) after two quick baskets at the start of the second period.
The two teams traded basket for basket with Montpellier leading (41-24) after 18 minutes.
Montpellier did not play well for the last two minutes of the quarter and Cab Madeira scored the last 7 points. Montpellier were 10 points clear (41-31) at the break.
Montpellier came out of the locker room more focused and kept their guests scoreless for seven minutes while scoring 15 points.
Montpellier more or less ended the game as a contest leading (61-37) going into the final quarter.
