Arras did not show any mercy to BBC Sint-Katelijne-Waver and ran away with a comfortable victory (73-37). Despite a slow start in the first quarter, Arras were never in danger (16-10) and ended the game as a contest during the second quarter (39-18). Yet it was not a vintage performance of Arras who were without Pauline Akonga-N'Simba who had been injured during the weekend. Nadezda Grishaeva (right) led the way with 18 points and 12 rebounds while Gabriela Marginean added 17 points. Nantes-Rezé won at home (66-54) against AD Vagos. But Laurent Buffard was far from happy with the way his side finished the match. Flavia Dos Santos from Vagos caused many problems for Nantes with her general play and 19 points. However for the hosts Caroline Aubert with 10 points and 7 assists made sure that her team stayed in front all the way. Doriane Tahane was the team's top scorer with 18 points. Saint Amand Union Hainaut completed the hat trick for the French clubs with a hard fought victory against Lemminkainen (79-64). Union Hainaut never trailed in the game with Corinne Bénintendi sticking with a six-player roster. Emilie Silbande (left) led the way with 24 points while Ashly Houts added 18. Petra Stampalija was the pillar of the side with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Monika Grigalauskyte was the leading player for the visitors with 14 points and 15 rebounds. In the other EuroCup Women games played on day one, MBK Ruzomberok needed overtime to get past ZZZ Partizan Galenika (71-66) with Carmen Guzman leading the way with 21 points.
