The brackets for the rest of the competition follow the traditional knock-out format with the eighth-final teams pairing as the base. All the matches in the knock-out phase including the final is a two-match aggregate score series. The higher seeded team plays away for the first game and then hosts the second game. If the teams are tied after regulation time during the second game then overtime has to be played. Since FIBA Europe moved to the ranking system the number 1 seeds have not qualified so far for the final of this competition. Dynamo Kursk as number 1 seeds will be challenging to overcome this jinx. All the four Turkish clubs have qualified for the eight-final while four from the five initial French clubs made it through. At least one French club is guaranteed a place in the last eight with Basket Landes having to play Arras. USO Mondeville ranked 15th and face Turkish Club Botas Spor while Hainaut Basket meet Belgium neighbours Dexia Namur. The pairing is as follows: BC Horizont (16) vs Dynamo Kursk (1) MBK Ruzomberok (9) vs TED Ankara (8) Dexia Namur (11) vs Hainaut Basket (6) Kayseri Kaskispor (14)vs Elitzur Ramla (3) Lotto Young Cats (13) vs BC Chevakata (4) Basket Landes (12) vs Arras (5) Gran Canaria 2014 (10) v Besiktas JK (7) USO Mondeville (15) v Botas Sport club (2) Round 6: A review of the weeks action Visit our EuroCup Women index page Visit WBBIF blog for latest news Return to the top of ECW news page womensbasketball-in-france.com
