There are only two groups with four teams in this year's EuroCup Women, Group I and H.
Villeneuve d'Ascq are playing in Group I and have a perfect record. They beat Ruzomberok (69-42) and need just one more victory to be sure to top the group.
Once again the duo of Olayinka Sanni and Carla Thomas dominated the proceeding with 18 and 14 points each.
Sanni also picked up 11 rebounds. Belgium international Marjorie Carpréaux (right)who missed the start of the season with injury scored 11 points while Ingrid Tanqueray had 6 assists.
However the most important result came for the Lotto Young Cats from Belgium who beat Portuguese club side Olivais Coimbra (68-59).
This victory has assured the Young Cats' qualification for the knock-out phase.
Nina Crelot led the scoring with 23 points, while Emma Meesseman scored 18 points.
Olivais Coimbra's defeat means that they must beat Ruzomberok by more than 23 points as well as Villeneuve to stand a chance of moving out of last place.
In Group H, Nantes Rezé reversed their away defeat against Seat Györ with a (72-62) victory. Sabine Niedola was the leading player for the French side with 17 points and 13 rebounds.
Essence Carson who played in France with Bourges last season scored 23 points for Györ. Nantes move into first place on point average after handing the Hungarians their first defeat.
The Saarlouis Royals let a 10-point lead in the final quarter evaporate to still sneak through hitting 3-of-4 from the charity stripes in the last 30 seconds to beat Vagos from Portugal.
Chineze Nwagbo fired in 33 points and picked up 10 rebounds in defeat. Vagos are still looking for their first win.
Vagos will finish bottom of Group I.
