NF1 Round 16 FCB Ardennes ASPTT ready to rock (Charleville)
La Roche’s winning streak came to an end as they lost at home to joint leader Nantes Rezé (64-43). Yet the second team at the top, Charleville, had a routine victory against Pleyber Christ (76-54).
Armentières’ good form continue as they beat direct rivals Basket Landes in overtime (83-78) and confirmed their position as play-off candidates in the top 4.
Dunkerque’s road trip difficulties see them drop another game. This time Strasbourg (78-76) got the better of them. Nice also had a bad day on the road as they fell (79-62) to Voiron.
In the other results Rennes beat Limoges (78-64) and Lyon made it two wins in a row with a victory also on the road against Lot et Garonne UST (76-69).
The CFBB’s defeat against Marseille (70-57) was a surprise. This was not the best of start for their new coach Grégory Halin after the departure of Fançois Gomez to Tarbes.
With victories for three teams from the bottom four and the defeat for Limoges, the relegation battle is now becoming as exciting as the fight for a play-off spot.
